Yes! Walkers and runners of all capabilities will benefit from this Moving Well Workshop. Our team includes Certified Original Strength coach Sarah Young, IFC Life Coach Joel Matalon and Master Chi Walking / Chi Running Instructor Vince Vaccaro. Your team of trained professionals will have you moving. Contrary to what you might imagine, we do not do lots of running, so no matter what condition you are in, have no fear! The Retreat includes hours of instruction over the four days. The Instructors guide participants through numerous exercises and drills, leaving you with the clear knowledge of what the Chi Running technique feels like in your body.
Alternating between demonstrations, fun exercises and technique drills, the days are relaxed, full and inspiring, including:
Introduction to the Chi Running Form. Learn the keys to effortless, injury-free running. How and why Chi Running works. Learn how to make running a fulfilling practice.
The Physics of Chi Running. Chi Running vs. Power Running. Run without using your legs. Improve your posture. Use gravity to lighten your load and engage your core to rest your legs. You don't need killer calves to be a runner. Chi Running teaches you how to use your large core muscles to move you forward instead of overworking your leg muscles, greatly reducing fatigue and risk of injury.
Innovative Technique Drills with plenty of practice. Running drills and exercises instill the technique in your body. Learn to streamline your running by using energy wisely.
